“Nightmare on Chicago Street” the Ultimate Adult Halloween Attraction!

4

The silence of a crisp October night is rattled by the sounds of marching soldiers as military personnel survey the bedlam. The town’s once idyllic streets are now strewn with wrecked vehicles, scattered debris, and even rotting corpses. As you move further down the road (your brain trying to process what your eyes can’t possibly be witnessing) you observe terrified locals scurrying in panic followed by yet another group of terrestrials; this second wave decisively less agile than the first. Moments later, as they amble their way into view, you realize that these really aren’t people at all…

At least not anymore.

It isn’t long before you notice the visible wafts of mist (created by your own erratic breathing in the cold night air) has increased; your heart pumping in tandem. This is a natural physical response when one discovers that they are in a decidedly unnatural situation. By then, of course, it’s too late.

You’ve unwittingly gone from casual observer to active participant in a town now overrun by the walking dead.

Conventions in the New England area are few and far between. Luckily though we do have one that comes back every year…ROCK AND SHOCK. Though small compared to conventions like HorrorHound Weekend, it still attracts the very best in horror and science fiction and is a guaranteed good time. Unfortunately, this year the Daves were unable to attend but thanks to their friend Brock Papineau, we are able to bring you a series of pictures to show you some of the great talent this convention draws!!! We want to thank Brock for these pics! ENJOY!

A “Flashback” All Over Again: Svengoolie At Flashback Weekend! by Jamie Lee Cortese

This was actually my second visit to the Flashback Weekend convention, and, in many ways, it was a “flashback” to my experience the previous year; however, it was even more fun the second time around!

I arrived at the convention just after it opened on Saturday morning.  As soon as I was in, I found out where Svengoolie would be signing later that day, and started browsing the vendor room.

As I perused the many diverse and unique tables, I saw a face that is likely familiar to anyone who’s attended a convention in the Chicagoland area…

“Body of a killer.  Mind of a puppy.”  It’s the always-fun Kitty Zombie!

I took the BAIT and you should too!

posterr

Just recently I made the expensive though right decision to upgrade my tv and blu-ray player to those that play 3-D. Because of this I am on the constant lookout for anything being released in 3-D and just recently a new film was released on blu-ray that looked promising, especially since it was receiving decent reviews on both Netflix and Amazon. This movie is the Australian shark movie BAIT!

Make an Appointment to see “Dayplanner of the Dead!”

dayplanner_of_the_dead_poster_-_v2lr

If you attend horror events on a regular basis, sooner or later you’ll run into a t-shirt that reads:  “I’d rather see a bad zombie movie than no zombie movie at all.”  Filmmakers seem more than aware of that mindset, and they flood the market with zombie films that seem designed to be exactly that.  But a group of filmmakers in Michigan are ready to break the mold this October when they begin shooting their new comedy, Dayplanner of the Dead.
