4th of July Fireworks Herald a BUSY Horror Convention Season!

?????????

And so the busy horror convention season begins…

It’s been over three months since I returned from the Cincinnati Horrorhound Weekend and, while there hasn’t been much going on horror-wise since, it’s been pretty busy behind-the-scenes. This is in the form of a much needed period of restructuring while preparing for July. I’m not sure if everyone out there is aware of this, but July can be as busy a month as October in terms of horror activities. Lots of events and more Svengoolie too! This weekend, the city of Chicago was buzzing with the opening of their annual Auto Show taking place Feb 11-20th at The McCormick Place. This is the nation’s largest show of its kind and always attracts a loyal group of gearheads & those interested in checking out the latest models. One year I recall sitting inside a replica of the tour jeep used in 1993’s Jurassic Park. Regardless of past participation, I must confess that I’m not much of a car person; if the damned thing runs I honestly don’t care what it looks like. However, there are some vehicles on the Silver Screen that I can’t help but admire.

Get Hooked on Harpoon: Whale Watching Massacre!

harpoon-_reykjavik_whale_watching_massacre_4

I know what you’re thinking. “This is a going to be a scathing review of a crappy B movie,” right? Well, you’re wrong, though I certainly understand that a title like HARPOON: WHALE WATCHING MASSACRE probably doesn’t evoke images of Academy Awards nor high critical acclaim. You see, despite the gratuitous title, this movie is clever and a LOT of fun!
