Midnight Syndicate’s “Monsters of Legend” Strikes a Chord this Halloween Season!

Awhile back we mentioned that Midnight Syndicate, the company that has brought us so many amazing Halloween-themed soundtracks in the past, will be releasing their 16th album this year. It is now available and it is quite impressive!

One thing I have always enjoyed about the Midnight Syndicate releases is that they are a great way to get you into the Halloween spirit, much like watching one of your favorite horror movies. MONSTERS OF LEGEND, this year’s offering, is no exception. It perfectly blends atmospheric music inspired by your favorite Universal and Hammer films with sound effects, creating the perfect background, for either your yard haunt or just to listen to as you are driving!

Midnight Syndicate’s NEW “Monsters of Legend” CD to be unleashed!

(From Midnight Syndicate)  On July 19, Midnight Syndicate will release it’s sixteenth studio album, “Monsters of Legend.” This “tribute to the golden age of horror” will feature sweeping symphonic horror instrumental music and sound effects in the signature style the band pioneered. “We want to make you feel like you are a character in one of those classic horror films – that you’ve entered a world where any one of the iconic characters from the Universal Horror and Hammer Films could be right around the corner,” said composer Edward Douglas.

Count Orlok’s Nightmare Gallery Haunts Salem!

I have always been a fan of not only monsters but of Halloween. It was only natural for me that in 1985 I combined both loves into a small yard haunt. Each year the display got larger and it eventually got to a point where I had more than 30 people volunteering their time to make sure my haunted yard (known as FRIGHT NIGHT since it was only open on Halloween night) went off without a hitch. It was at this time, in 1989, that I met James Lurgio, another resident of Jamestown, Rhode Island. Unbeknownst to me he was also a fan of monsters and Halloween and after one of my shows he called me and I invited him over to see my collection of masks, props and costumes. We have been friends ever since.
