Music to Die For: “The Halloween Album” by The Goldstars!

If one thing really helps me get into the Halloween spirit, it’s festive novelty music. Over the years I’ve amassed quite a collection of physical copies which I keep in an overstuffed binder. Now, of course, we’re in the age of streaming, and a local Chicago band called The Goldstars aims to give listeners that vintage Halloween feeling on a modern platform. I listened to their album three times while working from home last week, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I spent this past weekend putting up decorations and taking a family trip to an apple orchard/pumpkin patch. If you’re looking for the audio equivalent of pumpkin spice, then I’m happy to report that as of TODAY, this music is available to everyone.
