About Me
Hello, and thanks for visiting Terror from Beyond the Daves! I’m Dave Fuentes and live (grew up) in the suburbs of Chicago. Consequently, my youth was influenced by horror host, Son of Svengoolie (Rich Koz) and I’m fortunate to STILL be enjoying him on commercial TV today..now simply as Svengoolie! I love horror movies in all its forms be it monsters (Godzilla, Pumpkinhead, Aliens) , 80′s slahers, gore, man vs nature, the supernatural, or vintage classics. I wanted a site that would highlight the “fans” of horror themselves and not just the films that inspire us. In 2009 I met another Dave and we created this site to pay homage to local artists, fan conventions, and horror hosts. Horror hosts are, in my opinion, the ultimate fans of the genre – be it commercial hosts such as Svengoolie or those performing on public access. They share their love of the genre, inducting new fans while breathing life into films that would otherwise be forgotten. Don’t expect the usual film reviews and assessments here either. There are so many great magazines and resources available for those interested in horror, but the real story is what goes on at our level. That being said, isn’t it time us horror fans took back the night?

You are correct, Suh…I am quite a fan of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate…(since around 1985/86 in fact)The look of my “Minister” character was indeed partially inspired by the look of the “Black Metal” persona…Please do let me know how you enjoyed my show and if there’s any cross advertising we can do…I am always looking for new ways to promote my show.

We’re showing 3 classics: The Screaming Skull, The Brain that Wouldn’t Die, and House on Haunted Hill. Within and in between the films, Uncle Death imparts wisdom with Halloween safety tips (yeah, I can see it going badly already)! 8pm on The Fright Channel and Saugus Community TV, Channel 8!!
Also, join us for the premiere of the all-new, all-different The Uncle Death Show starting Friday, November 5th at 8pm on The Fright Channel and 10pm on SCTV locally!!
We’re still working out the kinks with TFC, and (unfortunately) it requires a SUPER quick download of the TVU player plug-in, but it’s a much better set-up than Livestream was. We agonized long and hard over it, and this is just a step up from where we started, but not the end of the tech road by any means! Stay tuned for further developments!

This design is spectacular! You definitely know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

Cool site !!! I learned about it from the Crimson Executioner he sends you the weekly vortexx shedule. I’m an up and coming horror host plus i do graphic for the Vortexx. I will be making a point to check here every week.
