WILDCLAW THEATRE Looking for Aspiring Horror Writers to pen 10 minute Radio Plays!
Last February, I reported attending a wonderful play created & performed by the talented crew of Wildclaw Theatre (see story HERE). This Chicago based theatre deserves a lot of attention, not just for the amazing work they do but for bringing true horror fans a reason to go back to the theatre! Each year, they put on a festival known as “Deathscribe” which sees the work of aspiring horror writers see their work performed on stage before an audience. Terror from Beyond the Daves is happy to announce that submissions are now being taken for this year’s big event.
Here are the details…
WildClaw Theatre is accepting submissions for DEATHSCRIBE 2012
WildClaw Theatre’s DEATHSCRIBE 2012, the 5th Annual International Festival of Radio Horror Plays, is accepting radio script admissions, to be presented The Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave, on Monday December 3rd. The Deadline for DEATHSCRIBE 2012 submissions is August 15, 2012.
We are looking for 10 minute radio scripts that are genuinely scary, imaginative, chilling, intelligent, suspenseful, horrific, or downright grotesque! There are NO restrictions as to content or tone, but keep in mine that WildClaw is a Horror Theatre. We take our horror seriously, and so should you! We want stories about serial killers, insects, distorted squirrels, cannibals, deep ones, plagues, demonic possessions, dogfish howlers, werewolves, vampires, zombies, aliens, and of course, the monster within.
Calling all twisted tales, bone-chilling nightmares, and horrific urban legends – WildClaw’s DEATHSCRIBE 2012 need YOU!
Click HERE for submission rules, regulations, and recordings of previous shows! This Festival is open to ALL and there is NO fee for submission! Students are welcome and encouraged.
Shape your fear into a 10 minute radio play and send it to WildClaw at deathscribe2012@gmail.com. 5 Finalists will be selected, and their scripts performed “LIVE” at Chicago’s Mayne Stage on Monday December 5, 2012.
The author of “The Best of Festival” (selected by a panel of horror and theatre experts) will be awarded the coveted “Bloody Axe Award!”
This is a one-night-only, not-to-be missed extravaganza of original short radio plays, written by horror enthusiasts from around the globe, produced by some of Chicago’s finest actors, directors, musicians, sound effects artists, plus special guest stars!
