J.D. FEIGELSON TO BE AT HORROR HOUND WEEKEND

For anyone that follows this site with any regularity, you know what big fans the Daves are of the 1981 television movie DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW. This is by far one of the all-time best made-for-television horror movies and it actually surpasses many movies that are released in the theater. This movie, and its amazing writer, have been featured many times on this site and meeting J.D. Feigelson for the first time was such an honor!

Because Dave F. has been to more conventions than I have, he has had more opportunities to meet with J.D. than I have. I actually met him at last year’s HorrorHound Weekend and I can say with all honesty that he is one of the kindest and most appreciative people I have ever met! When you go to these shows you basically pay the guests $20 and they act like they’re your best friend for a few minutes, even though the insincerity shows through at times. Not so with J.D. He truly appreciates his fans for making DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW such a cult favorite.

Initially I was disappointed when J.D.’s name didn’t appear on the guest roster for this year’s HorrorHound Weekend but that quickly turned to excitement when I learned that he would in fact be appearing, alongside the folks of The Monster Channel! Meeting J.D. at last year’s event was one of the highlights for me and I am sure that seeing him again this year will be no exception. If you are going to this year’s HorrorHound Weekend make sure you stop by The Monster Channel table…you will not be disappointed!
