TALES FROM HORRORHOUND WEEKEND: First meeting with Dr. Destruction and Count Gregula!
Friday night at the 2010 Indianapolis Horrorhound Weekend, my friend Jason and I covered quite a bit! We managed to meet a bunch of great celebrities (including Ton Savini) as well as a bulk of the horror hosts I’d listed as priorities (including Elvira!).
Two other hosts we’d meet had been operating relatively close to me, one was Count Gregula whom I’d seen at Svengoolie events and the other was Dr. Destruction from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Those meetings were recounted HERE and HERE.
It would end up being far from the last time I’d deal with either. The Count & Countess Gregula would join me for some outings later that year as well as us taking road trips together/joining forces at DAYS OF THE DEAD, FRIGHT NIGHT FILM FEST, and G-FEST in 2011.
As for Dr. Destruction, we’d also see each other again, numerous times, and he would become the subject of one of my articles in SCARY MONSTERS MAGAZINE that following year.
